Section 11 – Communication Protocol Code of Conduct - excerpt from the PBMHA TEAM MANAGER manual
11.1
Conflict Resolution
PBMHA adheres to a strict conflict resolution protocol. Before filing a formal complaint or raising a concern, all PBMH members, players, parents, coaches, and officials are asked to observe a mandatory 24-hour rule, as outlined by Hockey Alberta.
If there are issues or perceived problems on a team then the parents, players, coach and manager will deal with the problem on a one-on-one basis to find a fair and equitable solution. If required, the Association Governor(s) will become involved in mediating a solution. If no solution can be found, the conflict resolution communication pathway must be followed in accordance to the next level of engagement.
PBMH does not act on hearsay, rumors, or anonymous complaints. All concerns must be submitted in writing, with the complainant’s name included. Only then will a formal review take place, and the complainant will receive a response from PBMHA.
